Children and youth see the climate crisis as something that requires action! Your SCHOOL can help develop agency in children, so they are equipped to respond to the challenges ahead.

"We are working on elements of climate education that will be included in various school subjects. If successful, we aim to start from 2025."

Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka for PAP (August 2024)

The global challenges that the current young generations will soon face – climate change, water crisis, and ongoing technological transformation – are so immense that they require the combined efforts of all sectors. Research shows that the younger generation is not adequately prepared for these challenges. Students receive knowledge without the tools and skills to prevent environmental changes. The consequences of such education, in the next 5–25 years, will impact the job market. That is why children must acquire competencies in schools that will enable them to navigate the changing reality of the new job market and the world.
We want schools to be a Climate Education Center where:

the institution has implemented a practical climate education model and is familiar with the tools that support it

future-oriented competencies are being developed in students, such as agency, digital literacy, creativity, responsibility, collaboration, and more

efforts are being made to engage local government to allow young people to take part in shaping local climate policies

local businesses foster a sense of agency in children by investing in the implementation of their prototypes for solving environmental problems

How we work and why it's worth joining us?

Our innovative educational program, along with the proprietary working method – Code for Green®, was created in the spirit of the train the trainers approach. We work with schools to ensure that teachers are able to teach children how to solve environmental problems using technology.

We teach teachers how to guide students through the entire process: from diagnosing a problem in their environment, providing mentorship, to finding a solution, creating a prototype with the help of technology, and finally testing it in the market (or within local communities).

The Code for Green® method is based, among other things, on Design Thinking, project-based learning, programming skills development, field research, workshops in national parks and at universities with scientists, and empathy. This enables students, with the help of teachers and scientists, to create inventions that protect the environment.

The method has been thoroughly tested in 19 schools, with hundreds of students across 3 countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Germany) during over 6,000 hours of classroom instruction!

Workshops for schools outside of the programs

Participation in one of our programs is not the only way to benefit from our methods. We also offer workshops outside of the programs. Contact us and request an offer for commercial workshops for schools!

Even a one-time workshop brings great value to the school experience. Both teachers and students will gain practical skills and knowledge. They will learn how to study and protect the environment, understand physical and chemical processes, and especially the impact of humans. In classroom sessions, they have the opportunity for discussions and learning specific cognitive skills, such as working with the design thinking method. During field sessions, they examine the biochemical composition of rivers under microscopes and use the full technological support, such as computers, air, water, and motion sensors.

Benefits of collaboration for SCHOOLS:

Development of key competencies for the future generations

By investing in the development of children and building their agency in the areas of sustainable climate and environment, you strengthen the position of young people – future active citizens, competent and creative employees, and members of democratic societies.

Strengthening teachers' competencies

We believe in the train the trainers method. Step by step, we will guide the teachers at your school through the process of acquiring new competencies. By investing in the development of teachers, you invest in the development of children.

Modern educational tools and mentor support throughout the school year

You will learn methods for working in the field of climate and environmental education, along with a handbook, practical essentials, case studies, a training package for teachers, school management, and students, as well as access to the e-learning platform. The school is not an isolated island – your school will have the opportunity for free consultations with our experts. You can count on us in implementing change.

You are building the image of a socially engaged school that tackles real challenges

You demonstrate that you are a responsible and aware school that sees global challenges and understands that local actions can be more effective than waiting for the problem to resolve itself or be solved systematically.

The current generation of children and youth, through practical education and the development of agency, can contribute to reducing environmental threats, halt the destructive approach to the environment, and their attitudes and actions will impact the achievement of climate goals set for 2050.

Climate- and environment-friendly infrastructure

You will effectively plan and prepare the educational foundation – we will help you select teaching materials and equipment for environmental research or programming, efficiently prepare the school space, and create a friendly green-blue infrastructure within and around the facility.

You care about the development and digital well-being of students

You will develop an approach to education in which new technologies are tools for solving problems and challenges, rather than goals in themselves. Your students will use them more consciously and effectively in their everyday lives. You will lay the foundation for their future professional and social lives, where technology is an essential element. The unique combination of education close to nature, local work on climate and environmental challenges, and digital education will allow you to care for students' well-being. It will enhance their awareness of the world, reduce anxiety about the future, and foster the ability to rest and draw strength from nature.
