The Code for Green Foundation participates in the work of expert groups at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Ministry of Infrastructure, and the Ministry of National Education. Together with experts, we analyze proposed changes, prepare comments on draft core curricula and other national-level reforms, and support processes that strengthen environmental and climate education in schools.
As members of the SOS for Education network, we co-create reports and position papers on mental health, climate and environmental education, as well as on directions for the modernization and resilience of schools.
We also highlight our participation in the European Climate Pact at the European Commission. We are active members of the Save the Rivers Coalition and the Time for the Oder Coalition.
We participate in conferences, thematic panels and professional events dedicated to education, the environment and psychosocial health. We present the outcomes of our programs, share experience from working with our original Code for Green methodology, and show how schools can help students develop agency, critical thinking and responsibility—future competencies that are essential for young people facing the challenges of the modern world.
We regularly prepare expert commentaries on publications by public institutions, companies and non-governmental organizations concerning climate education, sustainable development, mental health and student competencies. Our goal is to provide substantive, practical insights based on six years of experience working with schools across Poland.
In recent years, our experts have taken part in numerous thematic and professional events as participants of Urban Future in Łódź, Women in Tech Summit in Warsaw, the Open Eyes Economy Summit, the European Forum for New Ideas, the Local Government Climate Congress, and the Freedom Games. They have also spoken at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Water Roundtable, and COP29 in Azerbaijan, as well as presented at the Better Education Conference, the Summits for Education, and the Healthy Cities Congress. The Code for Green Foundation has also served as a substantive partner of the conference “5 Years Start Today” organized by UNEP/GRID-Warszawa and Kozminski University, as well as the City–Water–Quality of Life Congress.
Read materials and publications developed by the foundation, as well as in collaboration with our partners, which support education on climate, the environment, and well-being.
